Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Systems (IJAISS) adheres to a rigorous peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality research. Our process is designed to maintain the integrity, objectivity, and academic excellence of the journal.
- Initial Submission and Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team to assess its alignment with the journal's scope and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
- Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a single-blind peer review process. In this process, the identities of the reviewers are kept confidential, but the authors' identities are visible to the reviewers.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. The reviewers provide feedback based on the following evaluation criteria:
- Originality: Does the manuscript present new ideas or research findings?
- Scientific Merit: Are the research methods and analysis robust and appropriate?
- Clarity and Structure: Is the manuscript clearly written and well-organized?
- Relevance: Does the manuscript align with the journal’s scope and objectives?
- Significance: Does the manuscript contribute meaningfully to the field?
- Decision and Notification
Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication without further revisions.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes before acceptance.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant revisions before reconsideration.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
Authors are notified of the decision and, if applicable, provided with reviewers' comments to guide revisions.
- Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised manuscript addressing the reviewers' comments within the specified timeframe. The revised manuscript may undergo further review to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed.
- Final Decision
The editorial team makes the final decision on publication based on the revised manuscript and reviewers' assessments. Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication in the next available issue.
- Confidentiality and Ethics
All parties involved in the peer review process are expected to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where appropriate.
